This year, we invite you to join us in raising awareness of the importance of Dignity as a principle and a human right. Our Country Chairs will be leading Global Dignity events in over 50 cities on Wednesday 16th October 2013 as children around the world come together to under the banner of Global Dignity.

Established in 2006, by Young Global Leaders; HRH the Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Pekka Himanen and John Hope Bryant , the mission of Global Dignity is to ‘help youth and adults to become their best self and help others to achieve the same’. During Global Dignity Day students are inspired to recognise dignity as an integral right for themselves and for others. They are encouraged to express themselves and to tell their own stories of living a dignified life and how it is interdependent on the lives of others.

Since 2006, more than 50 countries have hosted Global Dignity Days with more than 100,000 secondary school pupils across the world. This year we will be participating with thousands of students who will learn how to live more dignified lives and help elevate the dignity of others. We invite you to join us on this inspirational day.. and journey
